When vitamin A is combined with other vitamins it minimizes the risk of eyesight loss and keeps our vision clear and healthy. It is converted into rhodopsin, rhodopsin a pigment that helps our eyes to detect light and send signals to the brain.

The body part which produces A vitamin is the liver Eggs, dairy products, milk, and fish also have huge amounts of vitamin A in them. In fruits mangoes and apricots are good sources of vitamin A. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage cells and lead to several eye problems, including age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. Vitamin C can help to reduce the risk of these conditions by neutralizing free radicals and protecting the cells in your eyes. Vitamin C is important for the collagen element of blood vessels which transport blood to the cornea.

It is also an antioxidant that helps to recover the damage from dead cells. Some studies suggest that vitamin E supplementation may help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of vision loss in older adults.


Sources of Vitamin E:

 Almonds, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, peanuts, and pumpkin seeds are all excellent sources of vitamin E. Sunflower oil, wheat germ oil, and safflower oil are rich in vitamin E. Just one tablespoon of wheat germ oil provides around 20 mg of vitamin E. Avocados, fish and bread also have it in.

Vitamin D is also very important for a healthy eye. It helps to regulate calcium in the body which is also necessary for the eyes. It helps to strengthen the bones. Dry eye syndrome occurs when the eyes do not produce enough tears or when the tears evaporate too quickly. Some studies have suggested a potential association between vitamin D deficiency and an increased risk of developing dry eye syndrome. In dry eye syndrome, eyes become dry quickly. vitamin D in childhood may reduce the risk of developing myopia. In myopia, there are difficulties in seeing distant things.

In plant-based sources include flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts. Eggs, dairy products, avocados, soybeans, walnuts, olive oil, flaxseeds, chia seeds, and hemp seeds are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids. A 28-gram walnut provides 2.5-gram omega-3 fatty acids. 100 grams of avocado, contains 111 mg of omega-3 fatty acids. In 1 ounce (28 grams) of hemp seeds, it contains almost 6 grams of omega-3 fatty acids

 If you are not eating enough omega-3 fatty acids then you have to take omega-3 fatty acids supplements.
